“Night Scot at New St”


Royal Scot No 4671 “British Legion” waits patiently at Birmingham New St.Station, platform 6 with the unofficially titled “Night Scot” sleeping car train to Glasgow.

The loco has been serviced at Aston engine shed and then collected the empty stock from Vauxhall Carriage Sidings. The Aston men would work this train as far as Crewe Station.
